Bittersweet Release

Today has been a bit of a roller coaster. I got back from an awesome Girls' Camp yesterday and then today I got released as the Young Women's President. I have loved working with the young women in my ward. I will miss seeing them every week. I will miss interacting as often with the AMAZING women I have had the opportunity to serve with. This has been an wonderful experience for me and I will continue to watch these girls as they grow and develop into the next leaders of this church. I know the Lord's hand is in this work.

I am excited to have a bit more time to spend with my own family. My husband and kids have been so supportive these last two and a half years. My son learned to be a great babysitter at the young age of 9 when mom had to go to meetings or mutual before dad got home from work. I have been blessed with kids that truly love each other and are willing to sacrifice for each other. I love you guys!!!

Perhaps now I will have time to post a little more often. I am working on setting some more goals to make sure I don't idle away my new found "free" time.

Happy Easter

So I am a little slow posting this but I got some cute pictures of the kids so I thought I would post anyway. The kids were excited to see what the Easter bunny left for them; they each got a new card game. They had fun playing together all morning.

The kids looked great in their new Easter clothes. The girls had matching dresses and the boys had matching shirts (we even found one for baby Sean). What cute kids!

Emily felt she needed to having a picture holding the baby. I think Sean is a little skeptical about the whole thing! :o)

First Tooth Lost!

Look! I am finally posting again!

Zachary lost his first tooth this morning at breakfast and I thought that was a great thing to post to my blog after so long.

He was so cute about it. I asked him if it hurt and he said, "No, I just pulled it right out with my two fingers. Look how small it is, Mom."

Emily thought she should have her picture taken too!

For those that are wondering, no new baby yet--but it could happen any day now! I will keep you posted.

Halloween

It has taken me awhile but I made a committment to post our Halloween pictures so here they are. It is kind of long so be sure to read to the end.

We had a great time carving pumpkins for family home evening the Monday before Halloween.

Kenneth was determined to do everything himself. He did a great job.
Mom ended up carving Emily's pumpkin. It turned out pretty cute.

We did get Emily to sit still long enough to take a picture with her pumpkin. ;o)

Zach was very excited to have one of the "big" pumpkins this year. Daddy helped him carve it.
Morgan had her pumpkin design all planned out--she loved the end result.

Halloween day proved to be a beautiful, sunny day. Everyone got dressed-up (Daddy was dressed up as our chauffer :o)

We were able to go trick or treating out to our old friends and neighbors where we used to live. One of the highlights is always visiting Elaine--the sweet neighbor who tended Zach from 6 weeks old until we moved when he was 2. Then we came back to our neighborhood and ended up trick-or-treating for 2 hours (from 7-9pm) because it was such a great night. As we were walking back to our house Zach was complaining that he was tired (rightfully so). I told him we were almost home then he said, "It's okay, Mom. I'll just lay my head on my chest." Then he proceeded to walk with his head down on the padded chest of his costume. Aren't kids the best!!!

One of the most exciting things that happened this week was we found out we were going to have another little boy added to our family! Kenneth said he must have been dressed like an alien for Halloween! What do you think?!?

We love you all! Hope your holidays are WONDERFUL!

Making it pretty!

So I started this blog a week or so ago but then went out of town. Tonight I was with some friends and they started helping me make this blog "pretty." I changed the background and . . . oh well that's all for now, but I am trying!

We've finally done it!

In an attempt to keep in touch with friends and loved ones, we have finally leaped into the 21st century and created a blog. I love reading the blogs of friends and family, so I thought this would be a good idea. I'm not sure how consistent we will be, but every little bit counts, right?!? Happy reading!
